Healthy Buffalo Chicken Salad

This unique chicken salad created in the style by a world-famous Buffalo chicken wings which were actually invented in the town of Buffalo, New York State, in 1964 by the bar hostess Ā«AnchorĀ» Teresa Bellissimo and once widespread across the country.

Preparation time of buffalo chicken salad is 30 minutes. You will need: 2 bunches of lettuce, or any other salad, washed and sliced, 1 large celery stalk sliced, 450 g of chicken fillets cut into small pieces, pepper, salt, paprika, 3/4 cup of buttermilk (or the same amount of non-fat milk), 1.5 tsp of white vinegar, 3/4 cup of flour, vegetable cooking oil (corn, canola, grapeseed, any approach), blue cheese salad dressing.

Chopped Buffalo Chicken Salad

For marinating the buffalo chicken salad: 1/2 cup of tomato sauce on the basis of chili (recipe below), 1/2 cup sauce based on blue cheese.

Cooking process. Cut the washed chicken into small pieces. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and paprika. Dip a piece in a bowl with milk or buttermilk with vinegar, and then in the flour, shaking off excess. Put the chicken pieces on a plate. Pour the oil in a frying pan or deep enough for frying cauldron. The oil should cover the entire surface of the chicken. Place over medium heat to check the required temperature for frying, dip a small piece of raw potato or dough in oil, if they began to bubble, then the temperature that is necessary. Roast the chicken in batter alternately until golden brown on medium heat to avoid scorching. Using a skimmer, catch pieces and place them on paper towels. To marinate have fried chicken, put it in a deep dish, pour the hot sauce and the sauce on the basis of blue cheese, stir and cover with lid or foil.

For hot sauce you need to take a couple of cloves of garlic and a couple of chili pepper, 1 tbsp. of white wine vinegar and 2-3 medium tomatoes peeled. On medium heat, fry finely chopped chili, 30 g of melted butter, add the finely chopped garlic, somewhere in a minute, add the tomatoes and vinegar. Bring to a boil, pepper, salt, add 1 tea spoon of sugar and simmer for about 15 minutes more, stirring constantly over low heat.

Buffalo Chicken Salad with Blue Cheese

Serving of buffalo chicken salad: put sliced lettuce and celery rings on the bottom of a broad plate, put on top pieces of marinated chicken, pour the remaining sauce salad. Top with crumbled blue cheese. Buffalo chicken salad is served!
